Special Assignment Week of March 8th

After reading and thinking about the article "Unlearning the Myths That Bind Us" by Linda Christensen, I want you to take action. Examine some of the media that is in our everyday environment and prepare a 10 minute presentation for class to share your findings and raise our awareness.
You may use a Powerpoint presentation, video, posters, hand-outs or any combination needed to make an effective presentation in class on Tuesday, March 23rd.
You must work in groups of at least 4. Because of our numbers, 2 groups will have 5 people. You can find one example of how students have done such an analysis at Media and Diversity.

Expectations:
1. References should be made to the class readings, including Christensen.
2. Evidence of all members of the group contributing to the presentation should be clear.
3. The presentation should be clear and engaging.
4. The class vocabulary should be used in your oral presentation.
